My Little Prince: Teaching Folder

This lesson folder works around the school performance My Little Prince by the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra.
Eighty years ago, the French author and pilot Antoine de Saint-Exupéry wrote the well-known children's book about The Little Prince. He also made the illustrations for the book himself. They show how the pilot makes an emergency landing and meets the little prince. He likes to talk about his planet and the remarkable inhabitants he knows. The Antwerp Symphony Orchestra is creating a new musical performance about the encounter, with a revised text by Liesbet Vereertbrugghen and with Hanne Struyf in the leading role. Pascale Van Os leads the orchestra through the dreamy sound world of Claude Debussy.
