Small in the Great War: inspiration guide for the 4th, 5th and 6th grade

Many schools want to work on the Great War and are looking for inspiration for this. With the guide Small in the Great War , the province of Flemish Brabant helps teachers of the second and third grade of primary education to give WWI a place in the classroom.

The guide contains dozens of concrete teaching ideas that give students a view of life during the Great War. The guide provides a menu from which the teachers can choose based on what interests their students. The inspiration guide is a useful addition to the handbooks. In the teaching ideas, links are also made with the concrete school environment, the family history of students, the world of local heritage actors, such as archives, local history circles or heritage units, and current social events.
