Wablieft: News in simple language
Wablieft wants to make the world understandable for everyone. With news that is simple and clear. Beautiful books that are easy to read. And by helping organizations to simplify their communication. Every year they also award a person or organization that excels in plain language. They do this with the Wablieft prize.
With the Rich texts for OKAN project, Wablieft instantly expands the number of suitable reading texts for young people in OKAN classes with more than 50 stories and poems. You will find all those rich texts on this website . You can download each separately for free.
Each text also includes a lesson sheet. We developed this in collaboration with the Center for Language and Education of the University of Leuven, education specialists from Odisee University of Applied Sciences and a group of enthusiastic and committed (OKAN) teachers. You can also find these lesson sheets on this website and download them.
